Puppies learn from their environment ie. the stimulation and examples shown to them by other members of their "pack". If bad behaviour is observed by a puppy, they think this is the norm and will generally adopt this behaviour themselves.
For example, if you already have a dog, and its reaction to stimulation is to bark and/or be aggressive, your new puppy will eventually behave this way also. It becomes a learned behaviour, based on their observations of what behaviour is acceptable in their "pack".

When your puppy returns home, it is up to you - as "pack" leader - to continue to positively reinforce good and acceptable behaviour.
