Fancy Pet Rats

Fancy Rats make wonderful pets. They’re affectionate, intelligent and easy to care for. They don't smell like mice and can even be trained to use a litter tray!       

Fresh water, a good quality food, a roomy cage and some cuttlefish or  pinecones to gnaw on are their basic requirements. And time spent with you of course: sitting on your shoulder or even going for a walk in a harness. A same sex pair is recommended : two young males will become the greatest of mates, as will two young females.

A solitary rat is a sad lonely rat .. they enjoy company and will sleep together, groom each other and play together. They have a lifespan of 2 to 3 years and can be taught tricks, including coming to their name. My breeding stock is carefully selected for good temperament and good health, and all baby rats for sale are well handled.
